Two Chelan men injured after stabbing
Victor H. Rodriguez walked into the home Reginald Ebbs was visiting Sunday morning, argued with Ebbs over a portable heater and $20, then allegedly stabbed Ebbs three times in the torso with a pair of scissors, according to a Chelan County Sheriff's Office press release.
Ebbs, 50, of Chelan, was visiting a friend on West Highland Street in Chelan when the 10 a.m. assault allegedly occurred, said Sheriff Brian Burnett in a press release.
The unnamed reporting party said Rodriguez, 37, of Chelan, knocked at the front door, entered the home, then confronted Ebbs.
During the altercation, the reporting party said Ebbs defended himself by striking Rodriguez multiple times with a framing hammer, the report said.
Rodriguez fled the scene before deputies and emergency personnel arrived.
Deputies later found Rodriguez at a Sanders Street apartment complex with a severe laceration on the left side of his head and a few large bumps, Burnett said. Both men were treated for their injuries at Lake Chelan Community Hospital.
Rodriguez was medically cleared and booked into Chelan County Regional Jail Complex for assault in the first degree.
Sheriff's Sgt. Rob Huddleson said Ebbs' injuries were not known.
