Joyce Charlene Shively
Joyce Charlene Shively, 73, of Chelan, passed away on Feb. 5, 2013 in Chelan. She was born to John and Edna Spurgeon on Dec. 30, 1939 in San Diego, California.
The family moved from San Diego to Chelan, Washington, where Charlene attended school and graduated from Chelan High School in 1958. She married Barton O. Shively on June 20, 1959 in Chelan.
Charlene was employed as a checker at Safeway in Chelan for 15 years. After that she owned and operated the Enter-Prize Mart RCA-Whirlpool Store in Chelan. Retiring in 1988. Charlene was a member of the International Order of Rainbow - Eastern Star and enjoyed bowling, swimming, dancing and some art.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Edna Spurgeon.
Charlene is survived by her husband, Bart; two sons, Roy Dewayne Shively of Coos Bay, Oregon and Gary Richard Shively of Chelan, Washington; one daughter, Cherii Dawn Dalton of Covington, Washington; one half-brother, Gary Spurgeon of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A Memorial Service will be held on Feb. 22, 2013, 2 p.m. at the Lake Chelan United Methodist Church.

she was my neighbor and best friend for many a year, while growing up. we had many good times, russel McGuire my brothers and the rest of the kids in the neighborhood. sorry for you Bart. take care my good friend
