DUI suspect caught with pants down
Brian Rhodes, 31, of Chelan was arrested around 2:30 a.m., Sept. 15 after attempting to drive his car out of a field in which he'd gotten stuck, said Chelan County Sheriff Chief of Operations Officer, John Wisemore.
The reporting party called police after witnessing Rhodes sitting in a 2005 silver Hundyai in his underwear, Wisemore said. The reporting party said Rhodes got out of his car, attempted to put on his pants, failed, then re-entered the car.
Chelan County Sheriff's deputies arrived as Rhodes attempted to leave the field. Rhodes was arrested for DUI and booked into Chelan County Jail. The car was impounded.
Chelan and Manson power and telephone outages on Sept. 10 prompted security services and bank manager from Wells Fargo, Bank of America and Chase Bank in Chelan to call Chelan County Sheriff's deputies.
During the outage, all three banks lost some form of communication due to Byrd Canyon Fire activity. Chelan County Sheriff's deputies cruised the area to ensure everyone's safety.
Cesar Sameron-Zarate, 35 of Chelan was arrested for assault, eluding a police officer and resisting arrest after Zarate led Chelan County Sheriff's deputies on a foot race near Washington Park in Wenatchee Sept. 13.
Marrilee Martin, 26 of Tonasket was arrested Sept. 13 for possession of stolen property. Chelan County Sheriff's deputies found Martin in possession of a stolen 1986 black Ford Bronco. Martin was transported and booked into Chelan County Regional Jail.
Brendan Gallacher, 26 of Lynnwood broke into a private home in Manson at about 4 a.m., Sept. 16 and sat down in the family home's living room, according to Chelan County Sheriff's Chief of Operations Officer, John Wisemore. The homeowner was alerted to the situation after his dog persistently barked and growled. When the homeowner investigated the situation, he grabbed his shotgun and held it on the intruder while calling 911 for help, Wisemore said.
Gallacher, was found to be highly intoxicated. Deputies arrested Gallacher on first-degree criminal trespass charges and booked him into Chelan County Jail.
