When is Man...Man

When is

By Ken Marques

"A rose by any other name remains a rose" or something to that effect. When is a rose a rose? The stem of a living rose bush brings forth a small bump on its stem...and Man in his wisdom gives this tiny wonder the name, rosebud... the beginning of a rose. Thus a rosebud is a rose and will always be a rose even after it completes its life cycle from a rosebud, to a rose blossom to a fading rose flower...losing its beautiful pedals as it ages to its final stage, a lifeless rosebud. Thus a "rose is a rose is a rose" the saying goes.

The question is...How does Man, using the same wisdom describe himself from his beginning to that of a lifeless man? When is man a man? Is man a man when he is first formed as a living/growing bud or has man defined himself differently for his convenience?

Was Jesus, Jesus when placed by the Holy Spirit in the womb of the Virgin Mary? Just how much wisdom does man display when it comes to the subject of when human life begins?
