Family fun scheduled this month

Chelan school's Target Afters program partners with Lake Chelan Community Hospital and the Chelan library to provide a month of fun-filled evenings for the entire family
Free Family Fit and Fun Nights coming in October. The Chelan School District's Target Afters program has partnered with Lake Chelan Community Hospital (LCCH) and North Central Regional Library to provide a month of fun-filled evenings for the entire family.
Tuesdays will be Family Fit nights from 5 to 6 p.m. at the MOE gym. There will be active games with Mr. Silval and family team activities, including dance and yoga. Fitness-promoting door prizes provided courtesy of LCCH's new wellness program, funded by the LCCH Foundation. Family Fit Nights will be held Oct. 1, 8, 15 and 22.
On Thursdays, bring the entire family to the Chelan Public Library for Family Fun Nights. They will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. and will include puzzles, board games, scavenger hunts, puppets and stories. Family Fun Nights will be held Oct. 3, 10, 17 and 24.
Especially for parents, Dr. Claudia Swenson, member of the LCCH Foundation, will teach two nutrition classes called "Healthy Eating on a Budget."
This is a preview of more to come from the hospital's new kids' wellness program. Classes will be held at MOE from 5 to 6 p.m. on Oct. 7 and 14, in addition, childcare provided.
Door prizes will be awarded nightly. A Wii Fit grand prize raffle will be drawn Oct. 24. The more you attend, the more chance you have for the grand prize.
