Christmas trees wanted
Don't forget to bring down your Christmas trees for the Winterfest Bonfire. Christmas trees must be free of any decoration and can be dropped off at the North end of the Lake ChelanMarina parking lot. This is for Christmas tree's only, not yard waste. Spirit of Giving Fest
Entiat Valley Community Services FoodBank's - Spirit of Giving Fest date has changed to Saturday, Dec. 21, from 1 - 5 p.m. at 2084 Entiat Way. A free community dinner will be served from 3 - 5 p.m., along with music, arts, crafts and games for children and adults to participate in. This year they have a new contest for people to participate in, 'Ugliest Xmas Sweater' Contest. Do you have the ugliest sweater, enter and find out. Adopt-A Program Give Away is from 5:30 -7 p.m. for people who are registered. A full day of helping those in need and providing cheer and good food. 'Blue Christmas' Service
On Saturday, Dec.21, 7 p.m., at 145 Hale Street Manson - A "Blue Christmas" Service celebrating light in the midst of darkness. Dessert follows. HDCA 'Wrap It Up' Saturday events·
On Saturday, Dec. 21 there will be: Kids craft gifts with the Story Lady from 1-2 p.m. at Chelan Printing & Custom Signs; Santa Portraits are taken from Noon-2 p.m. at Riverwalk Books; Free matinee, "Polar Express," shows at the Ruby Theatre at 2 p.m., sponsored by Riverwalk Books; Free gift wrapping all day at participating merchants. Entiat Food Bank
The Food Bank will be open and distributing food to the needy on Saturday, Dec. 21, 1-4 p.m, instead of Dec. 20. The 'Giving Tree' is up at Numerica Credit Union in Entiat with Adopt-A tags to adopt children, families and seniors for Christmas. We are also collecting new unwrapped toys for needy children. Volunteers, young and old, are welcome to come and help at the food bank, clothing closet, Spirit of Giving fest. Volunteers are also needed for our Snow Shovel Brigade to keep paths clear of snow for the safety of our elderly.
'Who Will Welcome Us?' to be presented
On Sunday, Dec. 22, 10 a.m. (during worship) "Who Will Welcome Us?" - a drama based on the tradition of Las Posadas. Fiesta and piñata follow. The community is invited to a family Christmas Eve Service, presented by the Little Stone Church, 6:30 p.m., on Tuesday evening, Dec. 24 at Campbell's Resort.
