Artists wanted for art show
The Lake Chelan Artist Alliance is a group of artists, which joined together to produce and promote art while serving and supporting creative people in the Greater Lake Chelan area. The group is having a fine arts and crafts show, at Campbell's Resorts Riverwalk Park room July 25-27. It will showcase artisans from the area and beyond. A preview party will be Friday night and will feature singer and songwriter Eden Moody. Give Naked from Chelan will benefit from this event. Attention all gardeners, crafters and vendors
A working group has been formed to establish a Farmers Market in Pateros. With support from the Pateros Chamber and a site approved by the City of Pateros. The proposed market times are Friday afternoon from 2-6 p.m. with guaranteed access during festival weekends. The site is highly visible from the highway with ample space both forvendors and parking. Bible talks will be held each Wednesday, March 19, through April 23, 7:30-8:30 p.m., at the Chelan Senior Center, 534 Trow Avenue in Chelan. The Options program at Manson School District proudly presents the Disney musical 'My Son Pinocchio Jr.' by Stephen Schwartz and David Stern. Public performances are March 20 and 21, at 7 p.m., at Manson High School. Come wish upon a star with us and celebrate this treasured fairy tale from Geppetto's view point.

Columbia Valley Community Health is hosting a series of Saturday Health Care Enrollment Events for anyone who needs help enrolling into the Healthcare Exchange before the March 31 deadline. You do not need to be a CVCH patient. They will be Saturday, March 22 and 29: CVCH Wenatchee Clinic, 600 Orondo Ave, in Wenatchee; and available on a walk-in basis. Bring: Identification Documentation (ID Card, Green Card, Naturalization Certificate or U.S. Passport), 2012 or 2013 Tax Return, Social Security Cards for everyone applying, Dates of Birth for everyone included on 2012 or 2013 taxes. Lions Club to meet
The Lions Club will beginmeeting in the evening on March 27, 6 p.m. in the Apple Cup Cafe banquet room. From now on all Lions Club meetings will be the last Thursday of each month, 6 p.m. at the Apple Cup Cafe.

Kite festival
The Fourth Annual Entiat Kite Festival, "The Rites of String," will be held at Kiwanis Park in Entiat along Highway 97A on Saturday, March 29, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Last year's festival had participants of all ages bringing their kites to fly. Over 100 free kites were given away to children to assemble, decorate and fly at the festival, and prizes were awarded for the best homemade kites in all age groups. This year's event is expected to be even bigger, with 150 free kites for kids. Organizers plan to have vendors for food and kite-related paraphernalia, as well as a kite-fighting team to be on hand to demonstrate their skills. Lake Chelan Eagles will be celebrating their 78th birthday on April 6. Social hour is 1- 2 p.m., followed by a pinning ceremony from 2- 3 p.m., dinner follows. No charge to members and invited guests.
