Entiat Library summer
reading program gears up
|Submitted by Esther Dalgas|
Kids of all ages are invited to join Entiat Public Library's free 2014 Summer Reading Program called "Fizz, Boom, READ!" anytime after school is out for the summer.
Summer Reading is a great way to encourage kids to keep reading for fun all year long.
When kids join Summer Reading at the library, they will have the chance to earn a Book Buck for every hour that they spend reading or listening to stories. There will be prizes to "purchase" with their book bucks both at the library and during our two Backyard Bazaars!
There are lots of fun special events happening this summer as well! The full summer calendar will be available when kids join Summer Reading. Some of the highlights will be a program by the Pacific Science Center called "Radical Reactions!", a visit by world renowned storyteller and author Margaret Read MacDonald, two magic shows, and two. puppet shows, plus much more. In July, there will be a two day Quilting Class for kids 3rd grade and older to learn the basics of making a nine-patch square with Linda Wickstrom. Sign-ups will be required for this class.
Entiat Public Library Open Hours are:
Monday 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Tuesday 2:30 PM - 7:00 PM
Wednesday 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Thursday 2:30 PM - 7:00 PM
For more information call the library during open hours 509-784-1517 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
And by the way, the library is a great place for parents, grandparents, singles, couples, teens and readers of all ages and stages of life to find great books at all times of the year, but most ideally in the summer.
