CHS wins Reward designation
|From the Chelan School District|
CHS has been identified as a Reward school for their academic performance and progress over the past three years. This designation places Chelan High School in the top 10 percent of all high schools in the state for Title I Schools.
With the dedication and hard work of our staff, and the continued focus and effort from our students, CHS met Adequate Yearly Progress in both Math and Reading, and did not have a negative trend over the past three years, making us a High Performing School.
In addition, our graduation rates and our positive ratio of achievement to change have contributed to the High Progress portion of this designation.
Once again, we are extremely proud of our students, staff, administrators and parents in the collaborative efforts made that have resulted in this distinction. I would also like to say thank you and acknowledge the leadership and support our School Board has provided as well as the continued support from our community. Great communities make great schools and great schools make great communities.
In addition to this honor and recognition, the tradition of excellence at Chelan High School has been noteworthy to say the least:
The Reward School Designation for 2012 means we are in the top 10 percent in the state.
We continue to be proud of our students and staff and the effort and hard work they put in every day.
Congratulations Chelan High School.
