fall to Waterville
The Entiat Tigers ended the regular season last Tuesday, Feb. 11, on the road against the Waterville Shockers. The Shockers held up on its home court, earning a 45-28 win.
"We just didn't play with any energy in that game," Entiat Coach Miles Caples said.
Entiat ends the season on a two-game losing streak. The Tigers finished the season 10-10 overall, including a 5-3 league record.
"It was a situation between Pateros and us for the No. 1 seed, we were in the drivers seat," Caples said. "But it flip-flopped, with the inexperience on our kids part. It was a good lesson learned."
The Tigers earned a berth into the District playoffs. Entiat took on Columbia Basin Secondary this past Tuesday, Feb. 18, in a loser-out game. If the Tigers won, they would take on Moses Lake Christian this Thursday, Feb. 20, at 4 p.m. at Ephrata High School in a loser-out game. And, if the Tigers earn a win in that game, Entiat will take on the loser of the Pateros-Soap Lake game for a berth in the Regional basketball tournament.
"We have to be consistent," Caples said. "What we had hoped to do was lay a foundation that we must play hard every night. We are getting better at it and now we are in a situation where you can't have an off night. You have to play your best game every single night."
