Manson drops games
three games last week
The Manson Trojans baseball team lost three games last week, sending the Trojans to 0-6 on the season.
Last Wednesday, March 26, the Trojans hosted the Lake Roosevelt Raiders. Manson lost the game, 20-9. Manson's Bo Charlton was the starting pitcher and threw three innings, with Chase Brooks, Zach Serafini and Mikey Pittman coming on to pitch in relief. Pittman recorded three hits, and other Trojans recording hits included Jared LaMar, Michael Sanchez, Bo Charlton, Chayse Brooks and Mathew Fitzpatrick.
Last Saturday, March 29, the Trojans hosted the Bridgeport Mustangs in a double-header. The Trojans lost the first game, 14-0.
Manson's Bo Charlton was the starting pitcher and pitched three innings. Zach Serafini, Jared LaMar, Chayse Brooks and Mikey Pittman came on to pitch in relief. Mathew Fitzpatrick and Bo Charlton got hits against Bridgeports tough pitching.
In game two of the double-header, Manson played better, but lost the game 18-6.
Manson's Michael Sanchez started on the mound. Chayse Brooks, Bo Charlton and James Calhoun came on to pitch in relief.
The Trojans that had hits were Mathew Fitzpatrick, Jared LaMar, Michael Sanchez and two hits from Chayse Brooks.
Bridgeport jumped out to a 7-0 lead after the first inning. Manson started out the first inning by putting up three runs on the board. Bridgeport added two more runs in the second inning and cruised to the win the rest of the game.
Manson has a week off for spring break and will come back the following week to take on Liberty Bell on Tuesday, April 8, on the road. Manson will face Oroville at home on Saturday, April 12 in a double-header.
