Matt Baide
Staff Writer

The Manson Trojans soccer team earned a win against the Liberty Bell Lions last Thursday, May 1, on the road, 2-1.
Manson got on the board first in the 10th minute as Manson's Eduardo Verduzco got his foot on the ball from a corner kick, which deflected off the crossbar and into the goal. Manson increased the lead to 2-0 in the 24th minute, as Bryan Campos missed a shot, but the rebound came right back to him, as he buried the ball into the goal to end the game at the half.
In the second half, Liberty Bell got on the board to cut the lead to 2-1. Liberty Bell pressed to earn a tie, but was unable to get the equalizer.
The Trojans took on Bridgeport last Friday, May 2, on the road, with Manson losing its first league match, 2-0.
