Entiat sends group to State

The Entiat Tigers had a solid showing at the 1B Bi-District meet last Friday, May 23, at Toppenish High School. Entiat will send a group of athletes to State.
The Lady Tigers finished in second-place at the meet with 99 points, with the Pateros Nannies earning the win with 123.5 points. The Entiat boys earned third place with 104 points, with Bickleton earning the title with 131 points.
On the boys side, Entiat's Trang Tran qualified for the State track meet in two events. Tran finished second in the 200 meter race with a time of 24.48 seconds for a second-place finish. He also finished in second-place in the triple jump with a distance of 39-10.25.
The lone Tiger to earn first-place honors was Omero Guerrero, winning the 800 meter race with a time of 2:09.86. Two other boys will be representing Entiat at the State meet, with AJ Haynes finishing in second in the shot put with a distance of 39-01.25. In the long jump, Entiat's Alex Delgado finished in second-place with a distance at 18-09.50.
On the girls side, Entiat's Deserie Parks earned first-place in two events, winning the 200 meter race with a time of 28.33 and winning the 400 meter race with a time of 1:03.02.
Parks also earned first-place honors in two relay events. Entiat's 4x200 meter relay team of Monika Rock, Cierra Kohlman, Estaphanie Hernandez and Parks won the event with 1:54.40. The 4x400 relay team of Brittony Lamb, Rock, Kohlman and Park won the event with a time of 4:29.92.
Entiat will take it's group of athletes to the State track meet this Friday, May 30 and Saturday, May 31, at Eastern Washington University in Cheney.
