Lights of Love
Lake Chelan Community Hospital Guild "B" is sponsoring its "Lights of Love project which features holiday lighting and decorating the hospital grounds. Donations may be given in honor or memory of a loved one, as a special thank you to hospital staff, to recognize anyone for a job well done or as a special holiday gift, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Anniversaries, and Birthdays. All gifts are tax deductible and 100% of the proceeds go directly to support our hospital. Forms can be obtained from Lake Chelan Community Hospital, Lake Chelan Chamber, Precht Rose Chapel, Senior Center, Heritage Heights, and Regency Manor. Make your check payable to Guild B. Christmas trees wanted
Don't forget to bring down your Christmas trees for the Winterfest Bonfire. Christmas trees must be free of any decoration and can be dropped off at the North end of the Lake ChelanMarina parking lot. This is for Christmas tree's only, not yard waste. Win a trip to Bavaria!
The Leavenworth Rotary Club is once again running its Bavarian Raffle for a dream vacation to Bavaria. The Raffle includes round trip air fare for two from Seattle to Munich and $3,500 in spending money. You can take the trip any time you wish. Raffle tickets are $10 each but only 2,500 tickets will be sold. You can purchase tickets at The Leavenworth Echo office, 215 14th street - call 509-548-5286, on line at http://www.leavenworthrotaryfest.com/raffle%20tickets.html, or from any of your favorite Leavenworth Rotarians. Funds raised by the Raffle support local scholarships, the Food Bank, Free Clinic and many other Rotary Humanitarian efforts.
Clothing and accessories will be given away on Jan. 4 and 18, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Riverwalk Closet, located at Chelan Riverwalk Church on the corner of Emerson Street and Okanogan Avenue in Chelan. Clothing etc. is given away the 1st and 3rd Saturdays every month. To donate items call April at 682-3151.
Greater Wenatchee Mended Hearts
Greater Wenatchee Mended Hearts Chapter 91, Offering Hope and Encouragement to heart patients and their families in North Central Washington. 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m., Monday, Jan. 6 at Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee in Conference Rooms F & G on ground the floor.
Use the hospital's main entrance (orange) parking lot and take the elevator down to ground level. The public is invited to come and learn about "The Heart and Lung Machine" from Josh Fisher, Profusionist at Confluence Health.
