WENATCHEE — The NCW Tech Alliance, North Central Education Services District (NCESD), and the Apple STEM Network will host the 4th Annual Artificial Intelligence (AI) Expo on August 21 at the Wenatchee Convention Center. The event, scheduled from 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., focuses on AI's cross-sector potential and its impact on Washington State policy and economics.

The expo features keynote speakers and breakout sessions, offering attendees the opportunity to engage with experts and explore cutting-edge AI applications. Participants will experience hands-on sessions with Microsoft Copilot and learn about AI's local use cases across various industries, including finance, marketing, agriculture, and education.

Speakers include Nisaini Rexach (Microsoft), Dr. Min Sun (University of Washington), Dr. Joseph Williams (Washington State Department of Commerce), Alex Albert (Anthropic), Nick Ellingson (Washington Technology Industry Association), John Albert (Ellips USA), Nathan Beam (Forward Financing), Will Little (Prota Ventures), Jason Hancock, Claudia Backus, Anne Hessberg (Microsoft), and Dave Sabey (Sabey Data Centers).

The AI Expo is integrated into a larger 3-day STEM Summit, providing educators with the opportunity to earn STEM clock hours through NCESD. While primarily targeting businesses, entrepreneurs, and community leaders, the event is open to the public and free of charge, made possible by a donation from Microsoft.

The organizers are promoting discussions on AI's future in Washington and its local communities. A social event, sponsored by Native Network, will follow the expo, providing networking opportunities for attendees.

This year's AI Expo reflects the growing importance of artificial intelligence across various sectors and its potential to influence regional economic landscapes. As AI continues to evolve, events like this serve as platforms for knowledge sharing and industry collaboration in the rapidly advancing field of technology.
