Chelan, Brewster set for fifth annual Cherry Cup

CHELAN — The Chelan Goats will travel to Brewster on Friday for the fifth annual Cherry Cup football game against the Brewster Bears.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The annual rivalry game also recognizes the agricultural ties between the Chelan and Brewster communities, including the farmers, orchardists, farmworkers and families who work in the region's apple, pear and cherry industries.

The Cherry Cup was established as a way to celebrate the communities' shared agricultural roots while bringing the two schools together for their annual football matchup.

Chelan enters Friday's game looking to retain the Cherry Cup for a fourth consecutive year.
