CITY OF CHELAN NOTICE OF DECISION On February 28, 2025, the City of Chelan Shoreline Administrator rendered a decision for APPROVAL of a Shoreline Substantial Development Permit, SSDP2025-03, Lakeside Trail Project. For a copy of the decision, please call (509) 682-8017. Project Description: The request is for a Shoreline Substantial Development Permit (SSDP) for the City of Chelan Lakeside Trail Project. The scope of the project is to add a shared-use path to the north side of US-97A from Water St to the intersection of W. Woodin Ave and Webster Ave, connecting to existing sidewalk and bike lane on Water St, and connecting to sidewalk on W. Woodin Ave into downtown Chelan. The project will include re-striping the existing roadway, improving pedestrian crossings, and access management for driveways. Location: US-97A from Water St to intersection of W. Wenatchee Ave, Wenatchee WA 98801 Environmental Review: The City of Chelan, as SEPA lead agency, has determined that this project is categorically exempt from the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) under WAC 197-11-800(2)(d)(ix): The construction or installation of minor road and street improvements by any agency that includes the addition of pedestrian walks and paths including sidewalk extensions, but not including additional automobile lanes. Appeal Period: This decision may be the subject of an appeal to the Hearing Examiner by any aggrieved person. Such appeals shall be an open record hearing before the Hearing Examiner. Appeals must be submitted within fourteen (14) calendar days after the date of decision together with the applicable appeal fee.
