Community Bookmobile adds extra summer stops this year in Chelan, Douglas, Grant Counties

Posted

WENATCHEE — The NCW Libraries Bookmobile is launching its new summer schedule, bringing an exciting array of new stops to Chelan, Douglas, and Grant counties. The mobile library offers books, movies, audiobooks, and crafts, along with free Wi-Fi and the opportunity to sign up for a library card. Visitors of all ages can also participate in the Summer Library Program and various summer activities.

Elizabeth McNall, Bookmobile Lead, emphasizes the program's core mission: "Our goal for the Bookmobile is always to reach people where they are and to connect people with the books and resources they want. Letting people know that the library is for them, no matter what their circumstances are, is one of the most rewarding parts of working on the Bookmobile."

The Bookmobile is expanding its reach this summer with new stops across the three counties, aiming to serve children, seniors and residents of rural and affordable housing areas. These new locations are designed to provide valuable library resources to underserved communities, fostering learning, imagination and creativity for patrons with limited or no access to traditional library branches.
