CHELAN – Incumbent Mike Steele had a strong showing in the August 6 primary race for the State Representative seat representing the 12th District.
In Chelan County, Steele received 80% of the votes, with 7,494 ballots cast in his favor. His opponent, Daniel Scott, got 16.05% of votes or 1,504 votes.
The District includes Chelan, Snohomish and King counties. District wide Steele received 71.91% of votes and Scott had 23.32%.
Steele was elected to the Washington House of Representatives in 2017.
Both candidates are members of the Republican party.
