MOE Palooza carnival set for May 18 to raise funds for school supplies

Posted

CHELAN – Morgen Owings Elementary School will host its annual MOE Palooza spring carnival on Sunday, May 18, from 12 to 3 p.m.

Proceeds from the carnival will support purchasing school supplies for the 2025–2026 academic year. School supplies have been quoted at $14,000 for the coming school year, according to the MOE PTO.

The event, open to the public and geared toward children in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade, will take place on the school grounds at 407 E. Woodin Ave. In the event of rain, most activities will move indoors to the community gym, with the exception of the petting zoo.

Carnival attractions will include games, face painting, a cake walk, cotton candy, and a “Pie the Teacher” raffle, where students can enter to throw a pie at selected teachers once donation thresholds are met. Tickets are 50 cents each, with varying costs for different activities. Bingo games will also be held every 30 minutes with local gift card prizes.

In addition to the ticketed attractions, several free activities will be available, including a Touch a Truck exhibit, hoop games with the Wenatchee Bighorns, a petting zoo, and outdoor games like cornhole and chalk art.

Pre-sale ticket packages can be picked up at the will-call table at the school’s front gate. Tickets will also be sold at the event.
