Lake Chelan Valley will kick off holiday festivities with Plaid Friday on Friday, November 29.
“Plaid Friday is an alternative to Black Friday; Plaid Friday encourages people to do their holiday shopping with locally owned and independent businesses,” the event page states. “We encourage everyone to wear plaid this day to show your support, and you’ll even see many of our businesses wearing branded Small Town Holiday plaid.”
The day will also include the Tree Lighting, carols and a Santa visit in downtown Chelan.
“Families and friends gather around for the Christmas Tree Lighting at 5:30 p.m. to listen to local artist Brittany Jean singing originals and classic holiday carols,” the event page states. “At 6 p.m. Santa will then parade through town and end at the corner of Woodin and Emerson to light the Christmas Tree. Sing carols, get your picture taken, and take in the holiday spirit all around.”
