The Store opens in downtown Manson

Posted

MANSON – A new micro general store has opened in the heart of downtown Manson. The Store, located at 224 Wapato Way, celebrated its grand opening on June 21 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Manson Chamber of Commerce.

Owner Tara Kalian welcomed customers throughout the day alongside local supporters. The event featured celebratory mimosas provided by Darrin, General Manager of Chelan Ridge Winery, permanent jewelry by Chelan Links, complimentary popcorn, and a visit from Dr. Terra of Earth Naturopathic, who shared information about Lotus Wri flower essences.

The launch marks a new chapter for Kalian, who previously owned Lulu Chelan.

“I opened Lulu Chelan in 2009 to share beautiful things with both locals and visitors,” she said. “But as life evolves, so do we. We’ve made Manson our home, reimagined our shop as The Store, and are excited for this new chapter.”

Kalian’s entrepreneurial roots run deep. Her grandfather, Bill McDonald, founded the Seattle Home Show in 1939—an event opened by Eleanor Roosevelt. Today, Kalian and her father, Mike Kalian, continue producing the show each February at Lumen Field.

The Store is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information, visit www.thestoremanson.com.
