Volunteers Needed - Entiat Wildfire Preparedness Event

90% of homes catch fire by embers during a wildfire.
Once a home ignites, there is a 90% chance it will be destroyed.
Volunteers are needed to assist the American Red Cross in offering residents an in-person, 30-minute home visit to create a personalized wildfire preparedness plan. Volunteers will be trained to: Walkaround home to share tips on creating defensible space, provide safety plan guidance, offer a safety checklist, assist with registration for local alerts, and install smoke alarms, if needed.
Pre-training is required before the event (1.5 hours). Multiple options available. Details provided upon registration.
Event day: This event will be held rain or shine. Please wear layers, close-toed shoes, and bring a water bottle. You'll be walking outside for most of the event.
