Chelan Valley Republican Women to host candidate forum

MANSON -- The Chelan Valley Republican Women (CVRW) will host a Republican Candidate Forum on July 11 at WineGirl Wines in downtown Manson. The event, scheduled for 6:30 p.m., will replace the organization's regular July meeting.

The forum will feature a lineup of Republican candidates vying for various state and local positions. Each candidate will be allotted 5-7 minutes to present their platform.

Confirmed participants include Dave Reichert for Governor, Bob Hagglund for Lieutenant Governor, Sharon Hanek for State Treasurer, and David Olson for Superintendent of Public Instruction.

Local candidates will also be present, including Brian Burnett and Mike Steele for State Representative positions in Legislative District 12. The forum will also host four candidates for Chelan County Commissioner District #3: Brad Hawkins, Brandt Cappell, Flint Hartwig, and Chris Willoughby.

The event comes ahead of the August 6 primary election, with ballots set to be mailed out on July 19.

The forum is open to guests and non-members, including men. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to order food and beverages, which will be available for purchase.
