Colville Man dies weeks after Lake Chelan crash

MANSON – The Colville man rescued from his submerged vehicle in Lake Chelan has died. 

Erik G. Korbely, 37, died on June 10 at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Korbely sustained critical injuries on May 13 when he lost control of his vehicle on SR 150, struck a guardrail on the eastbound side, and plunged into the lake. The vehicle ended up fully submerged, resting on its top. Rescue crews worked to free Korbely, who was then airlifted to Harborview Medical Center.
