Manson Community Council to host forum on June 18

Posted

MANSON — The Manson Community Council will host a "Manson Community Forum" on Tuesday, June 18, at the Manson Grange Hall. The forum, which begins at 6:00 p.m., will feature presentations from local agencies and organizations, according to a press release from the council.

Chris Willoughby, Vice Chair of the Manson Community Council, will moderate the two-hour event. The forum will include 30-minute presentations from the Manson Parks & Recreation District, Manson Chamber of Commerce, and Chelan County Fire District 5 (Manson Fire Department).

The Parks & Recreation District will provide updates on waterfront projects, Leffler Field planning, and other initiatives. The Chamber of Commerce will discuss current happenings in Manson and plans for the downtown corridor. The Fire District will address an upcoming levy that will appear on the August 6 ballot and discuss current project plans.

Each presentation will last 15 to 20 minutes, allowing time for a question and answer session. After the presentations, attendees may be asked to participate in surveys presented by each organization, followed by an open discussion period.

The Manson Community Council intends for this forum to be the first in a series of events designed to provide a "one-stop-shop" for community members to receive important information without having to attend multiple meetings.

"There will be a lot of good and important information for the community presented at this event," Willoughby said in the release. "We hope to see many community members at the forum."
