MANSON—The Manson School District has announced its sponsorship of the Summer Food Service Program, which aims to provide meals to children 18 years of age and younger at no charge. The program will run from August 5 to August 22, with meals served Monday through Thursday.

Lunch will be available at the Elementary School at 950 Totem Pole Rd. in Manson from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The program's contact person is Robin Hanson, who can be reached at (509) 687-9585.

The Summer Food Service Program is administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). It is designed to ensure that children have access to nutritious meals during the summer months when school is not in session.

In accordance with Federal civil rights law and USDA regulations, the program prohibits discrimination based on race, color, national origin, sex, disability, age, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity in any program or activity conducted or funded by USDA.

Persons with disabilities who require alternative means of communication for program information should contact the Agency where they applied for benefits. Those who are deaf, hard of hearing, or have speech disabilities may contact USDA through the Federal Relay Service at (800) 877‐8339. Program information may also be made available in languages other than English.

To file a program complaint of discrimination, individuals can complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form (AD‐3027), available online or at any USDA office, or write a letter addressed to USDA with all the information requested in the form. The Manson School District emphasizes that it is an equal opportunity provider.
