Lake Chelan Health & Wellness Foundation awards scholarships to local students pursuing healthcare careers

CHELAN - The Lake Chelan Health & Wellness Foundation has awarded scholarships to 18 high school graduates from Chelan and Manson for the 2024-2025 academic year. The foundation also provided financial support to 13 college students in their 2nd, 3rd, and 4th years of study.

Fifteen students from Chelan High School each received a $1,000 scholarship, while three students from Manson High School were also awarded scholarships. The recipients will pursue degrees in various health-related fields, including biology, nursing, dental hygiene, kinesiology, and psychology.

Additionally, the foundation awarded scholarships ranging from $2,000 to $3,000 to college students from the Chelan and Manson areas who are continuing their education. These students are enrolled in universities such as Washington State University, Gonzaga University, Eastern Washington University, University of Washington, and Lewis & Clark College. They are pursuing degrees in nursing, kinesiology, speech and hearing, pre-med, biology, dental hygiene, and veterinary medicine.
