Manson American Legion to host monthly outreach meeting for veterans & families

MANSON—The Manson American Legion will host its monthly "Outreach Meeting" with Chelan County Veteran Service Officer John Tamngin on Friday, July 19, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Manson Parks Building, located at 142 Pedoi Street in Manson.

Tamngin, a trained and accredited Veterans Service Officer (VSO), will provide assistance to veterans, their dependents, and survivors with Veterans Affairs (VA) related needs. VSOs are VA claims and appeals experts and can help veterans navigate the complex system.

The July meeting will focus on VA Burial benefits and the Washington State Guide for Families of Veterans. Tamngin will be available to assist veterans in applying for benefits during the event.

The meeting is open to all veterans and their family members, providing an opportunity to meet Tamngin, enjoy complimentary coffee and treats, and learn more about the services available to them.
